It is no longer news that a former Oyo State governor who is also a prominent son of Ogbomoso land, Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala is dead.

Our correspondent reports that hundreds of sympathizers are already at the Ogbomoso residence of Chief Alao-Akala to mourn the death of the former governor of Oyo State.

Clerics were on the ground to pray for the deceased and the entire Ogbomoso land.

The entire town is in a sorrowful mood as people were seen in clusters mourning the passage of the great icon.

The remains of the former governor had been deposited at a private morgue in Ogbomoso.

The demise of Chief Alao-Akala happened just exactly a month after the transition of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi.
