Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the appointments of CP Sunday Odukoya (Rtd) as the Executive Assistant (Security), Reverend Idowu Ogedengbe as Executive Assistant (Administration), and Alhaji Kolawole Gafar Bello as Executive Assistant (Finance, Budget &Economic Planning).

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi. 

According to the statement, the appointments are with immediate effect. 

The Governor while congratulating the new appointees implored them to see their appointment as a further call to service. 

He urged them to discharge their duties with absolute loyalty, dedication and diligence.

A -three-day Fidau prayer has been held for the repose of the soul of the late Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji.

The prayers which were offered in both Christianity and Islamic ways at the deceased’s residence at Popoyemoja, Ibadan was attended by friends, families, politicians and members of the Ibadan traditional council.

The Cleric in charge of Maranatha Ministry Ibadan, Pastor Samuel Alawode taking his sermon from the book of 2nd King urged everyone to live a life worthy of praise after death as it was inevitable.

Pastor Alawode described the late Olubadan as a cheerful and devout Muslim worthy of emulation.

Similarly, an Islamic cleric, Alhaji Karmil Oloso who led the prayer in Muslim way speaking in a sermon titled” There is life after death be ready to give an account of your stewardship” stressed that preparations should be made regularly by people to leave an impactful history when eventually the inevitable death finally comes. 

Alhaji Kamil Oloso said late Oba Saliu Adetunji loved his Community throughout his lifetime.

Prayers were later offered for Oyo state by Reverend Idowu Ogedengbe while Pastor Soji Adedeji prayed for Ibadan land and Olubadan in Council.

Deputy Chief of Staff, Mojeed Mogbonjubola led the Oyo state government delegation to the 3-day fidau prayer for the late monarch of Ibadan.

Among those who attended the prayer include the former governor of Oyo state who is also the Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land High Chief Adewolu Ladoja and members of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes as well as Mogais in Ibadan land.
