Action Alliance has suspended Its National Secretary, Ambassador Abdulrasheed Suleiman.

The party also appointed Mr Wasiu Adeyemo as the interim secretary 

At the emergency National convention of the Party held at the premises of Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, the party suspended the secretary to address some internal crises in the party.

The party also during the convention amended its constitution and appointed National Vice Chairman, Southwest.

Speaking on the essence of the convention, the National Chairman, Alhaji Rufai Adekunle said the party was resolute to resolve all its internal crises.

Alhaji Adekunle expressed the confidence that the Party would rise to become a force to reckon with in the nation’s polity.

Speaking at the end of the congress, Chairman, Board of Trustees, AA, Dr Samuel Adeyemi noted that, with the developments within the Party and the nature of the polity in the country, AA, would win at least three states come 2023.

The congress had in attendance, party faithful across the country.

Muslim Community of Oyo State has advised Governor Seyi Makinde  to ensure justice and fairness in the constitution of his new cabinet.
This is contained in a statement in Ibadan  by the  Chairman, Alhaji  Kunle Sanni, and Secretary, Alhaji Murisiku Siyanbade.
The group noted that justice, fairness and equity in the appointment of the new cabinet by the governor are necessary so as not to deny Muslims their rights.
The Muslim  Community decried the recently dissolved cabinet in which it claimed Governor Makinde appointed less number of Muslims.
The group however enjoined the Governor to avoid such lopsided appointments in his yet to be constituted new cabinet in order to promote peace and harmony in the state.
While confirming that the governor has the right to fire and hire, the Muslim community said the state’s helmsman will not lose anything if he uses his appointment to promote religious harmony in the state.
The group assured  Governor Makinde of the support of the Muslims in the state, in as much as he ensures religious justice in all spheres of governance.

Security

Traditional rulers, politicians, security personnel and religious leaders across Ibarapa Area of Oyo State have ordered the closure of all Kara Markets indefinitely over the spate of killings in the region lately.

The three Kara Markets are located along Igboora-Abeokuta Expressway, Okolo market situated on the outskirts of Eruwa town and at Igangan.

Kara market is majorly constituted by herdsmen involved in cattle trade.

The agreement was reached at a security meeting held at Ibarapa North Local Government Conference Hall, Ayete.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria after the meeting, the Secretary, Farmers Association, Ibarapa Zone, Mr Taiwo Adeagbo said it was also resolved that commercial motorcyclists would henceforth not be allowed to ride within the town as from 10pm.

Mr Adeagbo also said the meeting agreed that beer parlours and club houses should close by 10pm.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the meeting was part of measures to curtail the incessant killings and kidnappings being perpetrated by some suspected herdsmen.

Residents of Ibarapa land have been facing series of killings and kidnappings which have left many dead and some still in captive.
