Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command is to embark on intensive stop and search operations as part of efforts to check criminality in the state.
The command would equally engage in intelligence-led raids of criminal hideout in its security moves.
Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr. Shina Olukolu gave the indications in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Ibadan.
Mr. Olukolu noted that with the support of the state Government through the donation of sixty-six patrol vehicles, the command would work assiduously to ensure a peaceful and crime-free society.
The police commissioner gave the residents of the state an assurance of a safe and secured environment, as the police would ensure and maintained a peaceful atmosphere through effective policing.
