Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde says the collaborative efforts of various security agencies has helped to fight crime to the barest minimum in the state.

The governor stated this during a reception for senior officers of security agencies, held at the Oyo State Police Command, Eleyele, Ibadan. 

Governor Makinde lauded the doggedness of the heads of security agencies in the state at ensuring the protection of lives and property of the people.

The governor also seized the occasion to congratulate the newly promoted officers of various security agencies in the state especially in the police force. 

Governor Makinde enjoined the promoted officers to be good ambassadors of Oyo state wherever they find themselves. 

In a remark, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shina Olukolu, maintained that the command under his watch would not rest on its oars to sustain peace in the state.

Mr. Olukolu said all officers and men have been charged to re-double their efforts to in order to sustain the 2019 tempo to reduce crime to the barest minimum. 

The Police boss noted that the donation of the sixty-six (66) Kia Rio Cars by the state government with the installation of the critical state-of-the-art communication gadgets for ease of communication had assisted the command in promptly responding to distress calls.
