Friends, families, and well-wishers of Venerable Godwin Daramola converged on All Saints Church, Jericho, Ibadan to bid the great preacher a farewell to eternal life. 

At the service, secondary school alumni including Loyola College Ibadan, Ilesa Grammer School and All Saints College Ibadan rendered special songs and anthems in recognition of venerable Godwin Daramola’s impact in raising sound minds. 

Diocesan Bishop of Ibadan Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Joseph Akinfenwa in a sermon, said though Venerable Daramola had played his part meritoriously, he left when there were dwindling standards in ministry and governance. 

Most Reverend Akinfenwa, who made reference to the recent killing of the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Michika Local Government, demanded a stop to the killing of innocent lives. 

In an interview, Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu described Venerable Daramola as a man who lived a meaningful life. 

The remains of Venerable Daramola were later committed to Mother earth at the All Saints Church Rest Park, Ido-Eruwa road while reception of guests followed immediately.

Late Venerable Godwin Daramola, who died at the age of eighty on the 25th of December last year, was a preacher, writer, an educationist and the first African principal of Loyola College as well as one time principal of Ibadan Grammar School.
