Delta Community Wants Govt. to Flush out Armed Bandits

Residents of the agrarian community of Uwheru in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have called on the government to flush out armed bandits who have taken over the forests and farmlands in the community to enable the people to return to their means of livelihood.

They made their feelings known when a delegation of Delta State Government led by the Secretary to the State Government Mr. Chiedu Ebie, visited Uwheru community to support the families of the victims of the February 13-15 attacks in the area which claimed ten lives, while others were left with injuries.

Oghenero Eghweree reports that over seventeen million naira was provided for the affected members of the community by the Delta State Government.
