Worried by the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Oyo State, the State Director, National Orientation Agency, Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu has appealed to members of the public to complement government’s efforts by adhering strictly to directives on preventing the spread of the virus.

Mrs Dosumu made the appeal in an address with newsmen in Ibadan, stressing the need for Nigerians to take precautionary measures at curbing the pandemic.

The NOA boss said residents of the state should cooperate with all government directives, particularly on social distancing, proper hand hygiene and stay at home order to keep safe as well as to break the chain of transmission.

She however urged retailers of food items and essential commodities to stop unnecessary price hike on food items to cushion the effect of the stay at home order.

Mrs Dosunmu, who encouraged people to endeavour to sensitize one another on the dreaded disease, also used the opportunity to wish the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde a swift recovery.
