In its bid to sustain its various enlightenment programmes aimed at stemming the tide of the ravaging COVID 19, the Ogun State Ministry of Agric has embarked on a market monitoring to ascertain the level of compliance.

Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, who monitored the social distancing compliance of traders at the farmers market (Oja Agbe), in Asero, Abeokuta, explained that the exercise was necessary to dissuade traders from clustering.

Expressing satisfaction with the level of compliance, Dr Odedina noted that the state government had been in the vanguard of social distancing, good personal hygiene and the use of face mask, among others 

The Agriculture commissioner, who advised the traders to continue to adhere to the safely guidelines, encouraged them to join in the fight against COVID-19.

Responding, Mrs. Oyatayo Ewatomi, who patronized the market often submitted that engaging market women in social distancing was a laudable idea, pointing out that such step would help in halting the spread of the disease.
