The ongoing rehabilitation at a section of Dugbe market recently gutted by fire had been put on hold by officials of Bureau of Physical Planning and Development Control.

The owner of a two story building in the market affected by the fire outbreak had commenced repair of the building few days after the fire outbreak, before it was now sealed off.

Radio Nigeria correspondent reports that the official came to the scene to stop the reconstruction work and sealed off few shops that had earlier opened for business.

An eye witness, who claimed anonymity said the work was stopped due to failure to secure approval from the agency overseeing physical planning and development in Oyo state.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the development has affected some shop owners in the affected building while some of them were standing in groups discussing the development.

Effort to get the reaction of Oyo state government was unsuccessful.
