Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has mandated the chairman of Akinyele Local Government to reconstruct the over twenty one shops burnt in the Moniya fire disaster and reallocate them to previous occupants.

Governor Makinde gave the directive when he paid an inspection visit to the scene of the fire incident to sympathise with the people over the loss incurred.

The governor assured the traders that government would provide a short and long term assistance to them 

Conducting the governor round to intimate him on the extent of the damage, the chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Mr Taoheed Jimoh said 1 cold room, 1 excavator, 3 containers, 21 shops, 1 truck, 14 vehicles were destroyed by the fire disaster while 5 persons were  seriously injured with 3 three deaths.
