The Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Abeokuta, Dr Peter Odetoyinbo wants journalists in the country to use their various platforms to disseminate information devoid of bigotry, discrimination and exploitation.

Bishop Odetoyinbo made the call while speaking with Radio Nigeria in Abeokuta on the occasion of 54th World Communications Day. 

The Abeokuta Catholic diocese bishop, who urged Nigerians to take advantage of the lockdown occasioned by the covid 19 pandemic to renew their relationship with God, described the media as powerful tool to promote peace and harmony in the world.

Bishop Odetoyinbo also stressed the need for Nigerians to continue to share the stories of hope and solace regardless of the challenges facing the nation.
