Presidential Task Force, PTF, on COVID-19 has called on the State governments to deploy innovative technology to fight the spread of Corona virus in the country.
The Executive Director, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Faisal Shuaib made the call when he led PTF delegation on a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Dr. Shuaib, who stressed the need for the state governments to adopt various strategies towards flattening the curve of the pandemic, described Ogun State Government’s efforts as exemplary and urged other states in the country to emulate Ogun State.
While maintaining that efforts of Ogun State Government in curtailing the spread of the deadly virus could not be overemphasized, Dr Shuaib gave the assurance that the Federal Government would adequately refund Ogun State’s expenses on the outbreak of COVID-19.
Responding, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun explained that through self-help his administration was able to come up with well-structured COVID 19 isolation and treatment centres with about four hundred beds across the state.
