Osun state government has ordered the compulsory use of face mask in the state to contain spread of Coronavirus.
A statement by Osun state Commissioner of Police, Mr Undie Adie, says the step became imperative in face of a surge in cases of Covid-19 in the country.
Mr Adie directed police personnel to arrest any person that violates the directive as well as ensure total enforcement of the guidelines.
He urged the residents to continue to maintain social distancing, regular washing of hand with soap as well as the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
The commissioner for police enjoined them to cooperate with government and Nigeria police so as to contain the spread of the virus of the state.
