Covid-19: Osun Records 37 New Cases
Osun State has recorded thirty seven new cases of Coronavirus which is the highest in a single day since the discovery of the virus in the state.
The State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Rafiu Isamotu stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo
Doctor Isamotu appealed to citizens and residents of the state to always observe all the precautionary measures laid down against the spread of the virus.
He also added that with the latest development, the number of confirmed cases in the state, as at July 15, was 318 with 172 active cases.
According to him, the state had successfully treated and discharged 138 patients, while eight deaths had so far been recorded in the State.
In a related development, Prof. Peter Olaitan, acting CMD LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, has been named the new incident manager of Covid-19 Technical Committee.
He takes over from the previous manager who has been given another assignment.
