Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command is set to arrest and prosecute illegal private guard company operators and employees in the State.

NSCDC Commandant in Oyo State, Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya made this known at the State Command Headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan while handing over an operating security license to some new private security practitioners.

Alhaji Akinsanya said the public should not patronize illegal private guards in their homes and at the place of work to prevent insecurity and security compromise.

He said the illegal private security operations in the state are dangerous and could cause damage to people’s lives and property, hence the need for people to verify before employing them.

The State Commandant noted that the task force on illegal private guards from Private Guard Company Department will be moving around the state to check Companies with expired license, or that are operating illegally in the state.

Commandant Akinsanya therefore advised the private security operators to always comply with the NSCDC regulations and renew their license as at when due in order not to face the wrath of law.

The NSCDC boss called on the public to always notify the command by giving adequate information on how to curb crime in the state.
