Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that there will not be Eid prayer or gathering in the state during the Eid-El Kabri celebration.

Governor Abiodun announced this while playing host to the newly installed Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Saadula Bamigbola in his Oke Mosan Abeokuta office.

Governor Abiodun urged Muslims to observe prayer at their various homes and maintained that there would not be any festivity or gathering that violates COVID-19 protocols of not more than twenty people at a time.

While congratulating the Newly Installed Chief Imam of Egbaland, Governor Abiodun urged him to use his office to unite Muslims and non Muslims towards sustaining religious harmony in the state.

The governor gave the assurance that his administration would continue to provide ambience for all the people in the state to practice their religious in a peaceful manner and urged religious leaders to continue to support his administration.

Earlier, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Bamgbola thanked Governor Dapo Abiodun for his support to the Muslim community in Egbaland and gave the assurance that Muslims would continue to support his administration with prayer.
