The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Mr Salami Amidu Bolaji says, the state will remain too hot for kidnappers and others trading in crimes.

Mr Salami said with a recent kidnap incident in Akoko area, he felt challenged and ordered his men to comb every part of Ondo State, including every forest in and around to ensure that the perpetrators of these kidnapped attacks in Akoko were apprehended and brought to justice.

He said with such instruction, it was like igniting the fire for effective raiding across the state, the result of which was the rescue of a lady that was kidnapped earlier in the day around same Akoko axis and the arrest of the Gombe kidnap suspect and the recovery of the vehicle.

The police commissioner said this would not have been so easy without credible intelligence gathering and the supports of the good people of Ondo State.

Speaking on the arrest in Ore, Ondo State, of a suspected kidnapper and robber, who on interrogation said, he and his gang sometimes in August this year robbed a Hummer bus with registration number Gombe: NFD 591 XA, kidnapped its driver and conductor in Gombe State.

The suspect further said he ran away from Gombe State after the robbery and kidnapping, repainted the Hummer bus, fixed a forged number plate Kogi: XA 451 AN and headed towards the southwestern part of the country with a view that nobody could trace him and the loots.
