Oyo State Government has donated four operational vehicles to the state Fire Service.

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security, Mr Fatai Owoseni while handing over the vehicles to the Deputy Director, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Moshood Adewuyi, said the donation was sequel to the lack of some necessary equipment by the state fire service to effectively tackle human and natural disasters.

Mr Owoseni added that plans were already underway to upgrade the status of the Oyo State Fire Service by making it an independent agency and pull it out of the Ministry of Public Works.

Receiving the four operational vehicles on behalf of the State Fire Service, the Deputy Director, Oyo State Fire Service, Mr. Moshood Adewuyi, appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his supports and promised maximum service delivery.
