INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in Ekiti State, Dr Rahman Adeniran has assured the people of the state that credibility, impartiality, transparency and accountability will be the watchwords of the commission under his leadership.

Dr Adeniran gave the assurance when he led the management team on familiarization visits to the offices of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service and Nigeria Immigration Service, all in Ado Ekiti.

The REC told the headship of the offices visited that the familiarization tour was aimed at soliciting for their support in the task before him so as to achieve his set goals in future elections in Ekiti.

He emphasized that one of the major assignments given to him was to conduct governorship election in Ekiti come 2022.

Dr Adeniran, who described the Federal agencies visited as important stakeholders in electoral matters, stressed the need to build on existing relationship among them.

In their short remarks, the NSCDC State Commandant, Mr Solomon Iyamu, NOA Acting Director, Mr Olurotimi Omotoso, Controller, Nigeria Correctional Service, Mr Akinyemi Afolabi and the Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service,  Mr Achilonu Alphansus reassured the REC and his management team of stronger collaboration in the task before the commission.
