Encomiums as Reverend Ayankoso Retires from Radio Nigeria
A man’s deeds is an index of his person and worth.
This was reflected in the plaudits members of staff of the News Department, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Ibadan, showered on the immediate past Deputy Director News and Current Affairs Department, Reverend Olusegun Ayankoso.
It was on the occasion of a special Editorial Conference held in his honour at Studio One, Radio House, Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe, Ibadan.
Speakers described Reverend Ayankoso as being forthright, firm, kind and a thorough-bred journalist.
In a remark, the Zonal Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, said Reverend Ayankoso was a skillful media practitioner and a man of peace.
The new Deputy Director News and Current Affairs, Elder Adenrele Ajisefinni, who described the outgone head of News as a close friend, also lauded the Zonal Director, Alhaji Bello, for allowing smooth transition of Reverend Ayankoso to the position of Head of News Department after the exit of his predecessor, Pastor Dare Olorunfemi.
Responding, Reverend Ayankoso, who acknowledged the gathering in his honour, thanked God for the privilege to work in Radio Nigeria.
Also, he appreciated the Zonal Director as well as the contribution of the members of staff in the News Department.
Highlight of the event was the handing over of notes to the new Head of Department, Elder Ajisefini by Reverend Ayankoso.
