Ogun State Head of Service, Alhaja Selimot Otun wants all hands to be on deck to enable the education sector to navigate the post-COVID-19 era in the state.

Alhaja Selimot Otun made this known in Abeokuta while declaring open a day training for the stakeholders in the Ogun State technical and vocational education.

Alhaja Otun represented by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service, Mr. Dahunsi Okeleye explained that all the sectors of the economy must ensure training and retraining of the workers for better management of resources in the post Corona work environment. 

The Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Technical Education, Professor Joseph Odemuyiwa in a remark explained that efforts are in top gear to ensure that all schools are vocational and technical oriented in Ogun State.

Lecture on realities and responsibilities of Educational Administration in Managing Unforeseen Situation was delivered by retired permanent secretary, Chief Ayoade Koleade; that of Polytechnic Administration and Human Capital Development was delivered by the former Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Dr. Raheem Oloyo.

The theme of the one day summit was ‘Post COVID-19 Management of the Education Sector for Effective Human Capital Development’.
