Some Nigerians have started paying condolence visits to the Bodija Ibadan residence of the late Bobajiro of Ibadan, Chief Theophilus Akinyele.

In a condolence register opened at the residence of the late secretary to the then military government of the western state and head of service, some of the sympathisers described Chief Akinyele as a devoted Christian and Achiever.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, the first son of late Chief Theophilus Akinyele, Mr Akinkunmi , stated that his father lived a fulfilled life.

Chief Theophilus Akinyele is survived by a wife, four children and many grandchildren.

Meanwhile, Reactions have continued to trail the death of former secretary to the then military government of the old western region of Nigeria, Chief Theophilus Akinyele.

Reacting to the death of Chief Akinyele, a former Secretary to Oyo State Government, Bisi Adesola who was also the pioneer General Manager, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, BCOS, described late Akinyele as a thorough bred technocrat, courageous and cultured

He said the late Akinyele who would be remembered for defending truth and the citizens noted that late Akinyele left indelible footprint in the political landscape of Nigeria.

While lamenting the decayed moral values in the society, chief Adesola, urged Nigerians to emulate the attributes of diligence and the virtues that were visible in the life of late Chief Theophilus Akinyele.

Chief Theophilus Akinyele who died yesterday at the age of 88 served as a former Registrar of the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, O.A.U and Special Adviser to former President Sheu Shagari during the Second Republic.

Chief Theophilus Akinyele until his death was the Bobajiro of Ibadanland.
