A condolence register has been opened at the Orita Challenge Ibadan residence of late businessman and former presidential aspirant, Chief Harry Akande.

Chief Akande died yesterday in Lagos during a brief illness.

Some of the sympathisers who were at his residence described him as a philanthropist and very humble person.

In an interview with Radio Nigeria, a younger sister to the late Chief Harry Akande, Lady Evangelist Modupe Samuel said the vacuum left behind by the politician would be difficult to fill.

Lady Evangelist Samuel who was so emotional, stated that many family members are struggling to get over the news of the death of Chief Akande, who was very generous and easy going during his lifetime.

Chief Harry Ayoade Akande, who was the Agba Oye of Ibadanland, died yesterday in Lagos at the age of seventy seven.
