Corps members have been cautioned against the use of social media to propagate fake news.

The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, who gave this advice while addressing the 2020 Batch B stream 1B prospective corps members deployed to Ogun at the Sagamu Orientation Camp, urged the corp members to use the social media to promote unity, love, and social integration in Nigeria.

The Director General during the visit to the camp also advised the corps members to make use of the opportunities presented by the Scheme to be self-reliant and be job providers.

He reminded the corps members that the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme was designed to make corps members be self-reliant after service.

Brigadier General Ibrahim noted that corps members after service do not need to roam the streets looking for non-existing white-collar jobs if they had taken the SAED programme seriously while serving.

He urged the corps members to always observe all the COVID-19 protocols while in camp and when out of camp.

The NYSC Director General advised the corps members to be security conscious and advised them against night parties, night travels and boarding of roadside vehicles.

Brigadier General Ibrahim was accompanied on the visit to Sagamu other management staff of the NYSC and was received by the Ogun State coordinator, Dr. Belinda Faniyi.
