Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has called for total commitment from its officers and men in order to collectively fight against insecurity bedeviling the country.
NSCDC Commandant in Oyo State, Mr Iskilu Akinsanya stated this at the end-of-the-year party of the Command held at its headquarters, Agodi Ibadan.
He said as the Command was celebrating the outgoing year, some officers who had distinguish themselves in the discharge of their duties were recognized.
Mr Iskilu, however, charged other officers to always conduct themselves professionally.
He emphasized that officers that died in active service this year would always be remembered for their brave act and ultimate sacrifice for the country.
While declaring the event open, NSCDC Deputy Commandant General, Mr Shem Obafaiye, said the Command had performed optimally in 2020 despite its numerous challenges.
Also some journalists in the state including Rasheedah Makinde of Radio Nigeria Ibadan were recognized for their reportage of the Command’s activities
