Oyo Govt. Partners NGO to Provide Care for the Elderly
Oyo State Government in partnership with a nongovernmental organization Prihemac is set to provide adequate care for the elderly ones in the society.
Commissioner for Health in the state, Dr Basir Bello gave the assurance an event organized by Prihemac in Ibadan.
Dr Bello pointed out that care for the elderly ones in the society was top on the agenda of the present administration.
The executive director of the non-governmental organization, Dr Martins Ogundeji said about one hundred members of the society had been trained as caregivers to render home services to the elders in the society.
High point of the event was presentation of award to some trained elderly friendly members in the society and presentation of award to Molete Baptist Church as the most elderly friendly church by the commissioner for health.
