Petroleum tankers and other long vehicles have been prohibited from passing through overhead bridges in Ogun state.

Governor Dapo Abiodun made this know after an on the spot assessment of the early morning accident scene involving a petroleum tanker which killed three persons and injured six.

Governor Abiodun stated that other measures to prevent occurrence of such fatal accident would be rolled out by the state ministry of Transportation.

The governor who commiserate with the families of the victims of the accident assured that the state government would do everything possible to all the victims of the accident.

He pleaded with the people to co-operate with security agencies in the efforts to clear the accident scene.

The governor was accompanied on the on the spot assessment by the Deputy Governor, the chief of staff the commissioners for Health, Works and Special Duties including commissioner for Information and Strategy.
