The Osun Police Command has arrested a two-man kidnapping syndicate in Osogbo, following their alleged kidnapping and killing of two children of same parent.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode presented the suspects and others to the public at the Police Headquarters, Osogbo.

Mr Olawale explained that the two suspects, a 21 years old Usman Muyideen and 20 years old Isa Memudu kidnapped two boys of same parent, Samson and Thompson Onibokun aged 12 and 13, hid them in a bush where they called the telephone of the parent to demand ransom.

He said the kidnappers, who eventually killed the two children, made a demand of 25 million naira.

Speaking with newsmen, both Muyideen and Memudu confessed to the crime, adding that they tied the boys to a tree, where they died on the fourth day, before the expiration of six days ultimatum given their parents.

Muyideen, who identified himself as 200 Level undergraduate, confessed that the children were those of his elder brother.

The Police Commissioner also paraded one Waheed Adewale, who allegedly stole a car in Lagos state at gunpoint, but was arrested as he attempted to locate his buyer in Ifon/Ilobu.
