The National president Nigeria Association of Women Journalist, NAWOJ Mrs Ladi Bala has called for media engagements on the need to allay fears of Nigerians to take the covid-19 vaccines and adequately comply with the protocols.

Mrs Bala made this known while speaking in a zoom meeting for NAWOJ members by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA.

She said that NAWOJ was excited to be on board on the need to educate and enlighten Nigerians especially those at the rural areas on the need to make them available for the vaccine. 

The National president stressed the need for NAWOJ to be carried along adequately in the activities of National primary health care development Agency so as to dish out correct information to the public.

Also speaking, a former NAWOJ President ,Mrs Moji Makanjuola advocated for media workers to be given priority in the vaccine since they are essential workers who are in the frontline  in  the fight against the pandemic .

Earlier, the representative of the Director National primary health care development agency, Ahmed Rufai Garba  said the roles of media practitioner especially NAWOJ cannot be overemphasized hence the need for the meeting .

He promised to engage NAWOJ in ensuring that adequate information are given to Nigerians.
