Ogun Gov. To Deal With Persons Who Tamper With Sealed Structures

Ogun State Government says it will not hesitate to deal decisively with any individual or group of individuals that tamper with the seal placed on property for violating extant laws of the state.

Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Tunji Odunlami stated this after an enforcement carried out at Ilishan, Remo, noted that anyone caught indulging in the act, would face the wrath of the law.

Mr. Odunlami while explaining that placement of seal on any building was an indication that the owners had contravened the law pointed out the act of sealing up property was a regulatory procedure taken after necessary notices had been served.

The Physical Planning and Urban Development Commissioner who described as illegal the removal of seal by a petrol filling station at Ilishan and some gas outlets said government would not tolerate the act.

Also, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Tunde Olugbewesa advised operators of illegal filling stations within the State, to visit any Zonal Town Planning office in the Local Government of operation, to get necessary approvals.
