Families and friends of late Solomon Alawode as well as members of the Deeper life Bible Church to which Pa Alawode belonged converged on Grace event centre, Owode Apata Ibadan to witness the funeral service held fir the former Radio Nigeria Staff.
Delivering a sermon at the service. The District Pastor, Deeper Life Bible Church, Orisumibare, Apata, Ibadan, Opeyemu Sajo said death is a must to every humanity, hence, the need fir them to repent from their evil dealings and return to God.
the cleric, who encouraged the widow, Mrs. Folake Alawode and the family members to take solace in Christ described late Alawode as a man of peace and humility who devoted his entire life to the service of God.
Commenting on her husband’s character, the wife Afolake, said her husband was a caring and living man who leave ni stone unturned ti position the family on the path if righteousness.
Pa Alawode who was later interred at his residence situated at house 6 Owode Apata retired as a Controller of Programmes at the Lagos Operations
of Radio Nigeria.
He died at the age of 74 during a brief illness.
