Ogun State Government says it will not blame any group or ethnic national in its quest to put an end to the recurrence farmers – herders conflicts in the state.
The Chairman, Ogun State Peace Committee on Herders-Farmers Conflicts, Mr Kayode Oladele, stated this during an on-the-spot assessment of the affected areas and handing over of palliatives to the Onigua of Eggualand and the Baale of Asa.
While pointing out that the Committee would get a comprehensive report on those who lost their lives during the crisis, Mr Oladele said that the committee would also adopt methods towards finding a lasting solution to the conflicts.
The Chairman, Sub-Committee on Palliatives and the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Olaolu Olabimtan who noted that the Committee would find out the truth about the matter, said that the distribution of palliatives was attestation to the love the Governor has for the people.
While receiving the palliatives, Onigua of Eggualand, Oba Adeleye Dosunmu, commended the State Governor for sharing in their pain during and after the conflicts.
