Ogun State House of Assembly has passed the Ogun State Law Reform Commission 2021” and The Schemes of Service Law for Registrars, Process Servers and Change of Nomenclature of Messengers and Cleaners in the Judicial Service of Ogun State, 2020.

The two bills are seeking to establish law reform commission for the seamless review of the State’s operational laws in line with societal realities and global best practices and another targeted at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the judicial arm of government through change of nomenclature to boost the morale of workers.

The bills were passed at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Olakunle Oluomo at the Assembly complex, Oke Mosan Abeokuta.

The passage of the bills was consequent upon the presentation of report of the House Committee on Justice, Ethics and Public Petitions by its Chairman,Mr Solomon Osho, who thereafter moved the motion for the adoption of the report, and supported by the Whole House through a voice vote.

Passing the bills, Speaker, Mr. Oluomo directed that the clean copies of the bills be sent to Governor Abiodun for his assent.
