The Osun State Government has confirmed the arrest of one suspect in connection with the gruesome killing of the six relatives in Wasinmi, Irewolede Local Government. 

The Chairman, Committee on Peaceful Co-Existence Between Fulani/Bororo and Crop Farmers in Osun State, Mr. Oguntola Toogun gave the information in an interview with newsmen. 

Mr. Toogun who led the Osun state government delegation for the burial of the victims in Ilorin capital of Kwara State on Monday disclosed that the three grandchildren were buried at Muslim Burial Ground in Ilorin while the grandfather and his two wives were buried beside the mosques in the estate owned by the deceased. 

He also said that the six family members killed by unknown gunmen were killed inside the mosque where they were shot more than seven times each before the culprits fled the scene. 

Mr Toogun explained that the late grandfather was very helpful to the state government in resolving problems between farmers, herdsmen and even exposing criminalities.

However, spokesperson of the Police, Osun State Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola assured that the police was intensifying effort to arrest culprits and working on the clue.
