Residents of Okuku Community headquarters of Odo-Otin Local Government Area, Osun State were on Thursday thrown into panic as an explosive device detonated and injured a female shop owner.

Radio Nigeria learnt that the incident occurred around 7:30 in the morning when a female shop owner opposite Olokuku palace was cleaning her shop in observance of weekly environmental exercise imposed by the Osun State government.

Okuku is the home town of the former governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

It was learnt that the explosive device was left behind by armed robbers who invaded a new generation bank on March 11th, 2021 and carted away money.

Shola narrated further, that the woman after sweeping the surroundings of her shop, was burning the refuse when the explosive detonated and injured her.

When Newsmen contacted the spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, she said details of the incident were not available at the moment.
