Leaders at the new Akinyele Pepper Market have assured residents of Oyo state of peaceful co-existence to improve the socio-economic situation of the state.

The chairman of the market, Alhaji Usman Yakko stated this in the market during an interview with Radio Nigeria correspondent.

Alhaji Yakko who spoke through Alhaji Sulaiman Adewale regretted the Sasa crisis and noted that their relocation to Akinyele was to allow peace to reign among all the traders.

Alhaji Yakko commended Federal and state governments for their relocation as the development would not disrupt activities at the Sasa Major Pepper Market.

Some of the traders and buyers, Mrs Morufat Oladejo, Mrs Mariam Abd-rosheed, Musa Shuaib and Lawale Kotangora explained that the partial movement of some pepper sellers would aid the development of both the state and Akinyele Local Government.

They appealed to the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration to fulfill its promise of reconstructing the Sasa Market adding that the amenities at the new Akinyele Pepper Market should also be put in place.
