Prince Oluwayemi Adeaga of Baale Opadere dynasty of Ibadanland has been as elected President General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII

Prince Adeaga a retired civil servant and businessman polled a total vote of fifty-eight to defeat his opponent Chief Waheed Ekun, The Agbaakin Mayegun of Ibadanland, who scored thirty-five.

The emergence of Prince Adeaga sparked wild jubilation among the delegates who are from the ninety-nine clubs which participated in the election exercise.

In an interview, The CCII President-General elect, Prince Oluwayemi Adeaga promised to unite all Ibadan indigenes and push for all round development of the ancient city.

Also elected were Dr. Tirimisiyu Oladimeji as Vice President- One, while Bukola Adigun emerged the Publicity Secretary

In their separate reactions, some of the indigenes including Mr. Olusegun Abatan, Mr. Olatunji Oladejo and Dr. Oluwatunmise Adeagbo, who adjudged the election as free and fair, urged the President-General elect and his team to focus on the unity among indigenes, security of Ibadan neighborhood and the completion of Olubadan Palace.
