PDP Wins Isoko North Bye-Election

Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the People’s Democratic Party, as winner of the just concluded Bye-election for Isoko North State Constituency of Delta State.
The INEC returning Officer for the bye-election Professor Christopher Onosemuode, made this known while announcing the results of the bye-election at INEC Local Government headquarters in Ozoro, Isoko North.
Professor Onosemuode noted the PDP candidate Jude Ogbimi, scored a total of twenty nine thousand, four hundred and twenty one votes, to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress who received two thousand five hundred and forth three votes.
The election was necessitated following the demise of Tim Owhefere, the former member representing the constituency in Delta State House of Assembly.
Eleven political parties participated in the Isoko North State Constituency Bye-election across thirteen wards in the area.
