The Speaker, Osun House of Assembly Mr. Timothy Owoeye has admonished Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to pray for the peace and unity of the country.
The Speaker in a statement by his Media aide, Kunle Alabi congratulates Muslim faithful for the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan saying it should also be a period for people blessed by Allah to remember the needy.
He said the Month of Ramadan should be used to supplicate to Allah for peace to reign in the country.
Mr. Owoeye stressed that there can’t be a better time than now for Muslims to rise up in unison to pray for the healing of the country from the menace of insecurity.
While advising Muslims to use the season as a moment of reflection, prayer and of love-sharing among people not only of their faith alone but also of other faiths, the Speaker urged them to pray for peace and prosperity of Nigeria and Osun state.
