Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, CP Ngozi Onadeko says the Command has deployed heavy presence of personnel TO idi-Ayunre-Ijebu-Ode road AND OTHER boundary related routes in the state for maximum security.

This is contained in a statement signed in Ibadan by the police public relations officer in the state, Mr Adewale Osifeso.

CP Onadeko noted that the command had embarked on another “on the spot” assessment to the  Idi ayunre forest along Ibadan-Ijebu ode road through Ogun state border to ensure that the place was free of nefarious activities.

The Commissioner said the visit became imperative as information sharing and conduct of Intelligence-led operations would send a signal to kidnappers that Oyo state was a no go area for criminals.

She  noted that the operation was also to remind criminally minded people within the State jurisdiction that security apparatus has been deployed in top capacities to ensure that all and sundry  go about their lawful businesses without any form of molestation or harassment from unscrupulous elements.

CP Onadeko said, to consolidate the success recorded from the kidnappers den, the command had sort out ways to bring kidnapping in the ‘Idi-Ayunre forest axis’ to a halt

The Commissioner adds that cooperation from members of the public with credible and timely information was encouraged for quick intervention.

She enjoined the good people of Oyo State to stay away from crime and aligns with the holy virtues associated with the holy month of Ramadan, within and beyond the Ramadan period.
