Operators of mobile network providers are yet to begins registration of new SIM cards days after the federal government lifted the ban of new SIM Registration.

Our correspondent who moved round Ibadan metropolis visited offices of some major network providers.

Information gathered from one of the network providers, revealed that they were yet to start as they were still busy with linking national identification number, NIN with SIM cards.

Also, another network provider said they were yet to start the registration of new SIM cards.

At the office of the network provider visited, Radio Nigeria was told by an officer who preferred to remain anonymous that there were no materials on the ground to register new SIM cards.

Some of the residents of Ibadan said they had not been able to register their new SIM as the Network providers were yet to start the exercise.

Also road side SIM seller were off the streets since SIM registration was stopped by the federal government.

There were huge numbers of subscribers at these offices to complain about one thing or the other.
