A cleric, Pastor James Afolabi has called on fathers to be more committed to the wellbeing of their families.

Pastor Afolabi said this in Ibadan while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the commemoration of Father’s Day.

According to the cleric, the upbringing of children must always be a collective effort, in order to reduce the various social vices in the society.

Pastor Afolabi said fathers must ensure that their male children are raised not feel superior to the girl child.

Also speaking on Father’s Day, the Pastor in charge of Region Eleven of the Gospel Faith Mission International, GOFAMINT, Ademola Akangbe stressed the need for fathers to lead their families in the way of the Lord.

Radio Nigeria correspondents who went round some churches in Ibadan Metropolis reports that some wives and children presented gifts to their husbands and fathers in commemoration of the day.
