Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko says adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations. 

This is contained in statement signed in Ibadan by Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Olawale Osifeso.

Mrs Onadeko states that there is also strategic security deployment spanning the length and breadth of the State.

She notes that the deployments would be characterized by increased visibility policing, stop and search, convoy patrols and intelligence-led surveillance before, during and after the festivities.  

The Police commissioner says it is worthy to note that strategic partnerships with sister security agencies alongside local hunters and vigilantes would be intensified.

Mrs Onadeko urges members of the public to always report to the police or other sister agencies whenever there is distress or useful information, through these Police Control Room Numbers, 08081768614, 07055495413 and 615 (Toll Free) from Oyo State Security Trust Fund.

The Police Commissioner therefore reminds the general public about the importance of embracing all stipulated COVID-19 protocols especially with the incursion of the Delta Variant in some parts of the country.

The Commissioner of Police, on behalf of the Officers and men of Oyo State Police Command wishes all Muslim faithful a joyous EID-EL-KABIR celebration and urges the good people of Oyo State to remain law abiding and relentless in providing the Command with credible and reliable information.
