Members of staff, Radio Nigeria Amuludun FM, Moniya have been assured of adequate security while carrying out their duties.

The Acting zonal Director FRCN, Ibadan National station, Mrs Bolanle Owoyemi stated this while she led the committee of management to inspect vandalization on the station by hoodlums.

Mrs Owoyemi expressed gratitude to God that no lives were lost and none of the equipment and transmission were affected.  

The general manager, Radio Nigeria Amuludun FM, Moniya Reverend Niyi Dahunsi in his reaction called on government to make use of security agencies to ensure safety of lives and property to prevent further attack on the radio station.

Reverend Dahunsi said normalcy has returned to the station and implored workers to go on about their normal duties.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Mr. Nafiu Busari condemned the attack on Amuludun 99.1, FM by hoodlums.

Mr. Busari who said the attack on the station will not deter the media from carrying out its duties called on law enforcement agents to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.

Two of the staff whose cars were vandalized Mr Kamorudeen Adepoju and Mr Olumuyiwa Awe explained that they were in the studio when the attack occurred.
