South West NUJ condemns attack on FRCN, Ibadan

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the South West has condemned the attack on the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Amuludun FM in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The union called on the Police and other security agencies to investigate the incident and apprehend those responsible for the attack on the media outfit.

In a statement released by the Vice President of the union in the zone, Comrade Cosmas Olalekan Oni and the Zonal Secretary, Bamigbola Gbolagunte the union tasked the security agencies to get to the root of the unfortunate incident.

NUJ expressed worry over the incident and wondered why media organization should be the target of attack by hoodlums.

The union however commended the state police command for the prompt response at arresting the situation and called for more proactive measures by the police.
