3rd Wave: 80% Of Death Casualties Were Not Vaccinated – Oyo Covid-19 EOC

The chances of death of Covid-19 unvaccinated people is four times higher than people who are fully vaccinated against the disease.

Co-lead, Oyo State Covid-19 Emergency Operation Centre, Doctor Fisayo Oluwatosin made this known while featuring on straight talk, an interview programme on Premier FM.

Doctor Oluwatosin who highlighted the importance of Covid 19 vaccination, hinted that Eighty percent of people who died of Covid 19 complications in the third wave of the pandemic in Oyo state were not fully vaccinated.

Speaking on major underlying ailment responsible for Covid 19 death, Doctor Oluwatosin cautioned people with diabetes to take extra precaution from contracting the virus.

Doctor Oluwatosin said the new delta variant do not show cough and sneezing as symptoms and sometimes come with diarrhea.
