Chairman, Oyo State Sports Council, Mr. Gbenga Adewusi has assured the people of Oyo State that the state’s athletes to the National Youth Games in Ilorin will win more medals than they won at the 2019 edition.
Mr. Adewusi gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen on preparations of Oyo State’s contingent for the National Youth Games which will begin on October 10, 2021, in Ilorin, Kwara state.
He noted that the state government has put every machinery in place to ensure that the state’s athletes compete favourably with other states at the Youth Games.
Mr. Adewusi reaffirmed the state’s commitment to sports development through various programmes to discover and nurture young talents.
The 2021 National Youth Games will begin on October 10 to October 20 in Ilorin, Kwara State.
