“Every day is for the thief, one day is for the owner goes a saying”, this saying came to the fore as two young men were early on Saturday morning arrested at Ile-Ero, Odo Onà Eléwé area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital for allegedly robbing four houses.

According to the General Chairman of Ile Ero Community, Alhaji Fatai Folorunso, the suspects were arrested early in the morning by some officials of the Vigilante Group.

Alhaji Folorunso said the community had been witnessing series of attacks from men of the underworld which made them employ the service of the security group.

The leader of the Vigilante Group, Mr. Kazeem Adewale, said the community alerted them of a robbery attack in the middle of the night and while the Vigilante Group was trying to arrest the suspects, they fled different directions which made them to lock all entrances to the area.

Mr. Adewale explained that a thorough search till around 6 a.m. led to the arrest of one Lati Oladoke aged 22 and Kuddus Fasasi aged 21.

The suspects who said they live in the Olosan area explained that they had only come to defecate in a bush inside the estate on a bike when they were arrested.

The story however changed when one of the residents that were robbed identified Lati Olagoke through a tattoo on his back.

As at the time of filing this report the residents were still discussing the next action to be taken.
