Girl child across Nigeria have again been charged to abstain from sexual immoralities and all activities that can destroy their future.
Ekiti State Governor’s wife Erelu Bisi Fayemi gave the charge in Ado Ekiti during a visit to Christ Girl’s School, as part of international day of the Girl child celebration.
She noted that indulging in immoralities like sexual activities, lesbianism, collection of gifts from male counterparts which could lead to rape among others should be avoided to secure a great future.
The Governor’s wife pleaded with the young school girls to be God-fearing, pay attention to their studies and follow their teacher’s instructions.
Erelu fayemi who observed that the current digital age had brought about different exposures to crimes and immoralities, warned the female students against subscribing to nude pictures on internet which might further promote sexual immoralities.
Earlier, the senior special Assistant to the Governor’s wife on Advocacy, Mrs. Tokunbo Gbadamoshi maintained that teenage pregnancy was inimical to a purposeful future of the Girl child, hence it should be guided against.
Also the principal Christ Girl’s school, Mrs. Esan Oluremi urged government to provide computers and Laptops for the school’s ICT Laboratory inorder to encourage the students to study without distractions.
